I need to decide by tonight! No need to ask me my opinion of each place. It'd be helpful if you just listed which school and why YOU would go there. Thanks everyone!

Even a simple pick with no explanation would help. :]

Totally depends on where you want to live after graduation. USC will most likely land you a job in CA, Tulane will most likely land you a job on the east coast. If you are going on to grad school then it depends upon your major. Tulane is better in science. USC is better in business, theater, engineering. If it were me, coming from CA, I would choose USC because I love the weather here. I also think USC has a beautiful campus and I like that the freshman dorms are close to the library. I think the football scene would be fun, and I would be more likely to major in business or computer science since that’s what I did major in!

Price differences? Besides that USC.

Just to say, I am a Neuroscience & Public Health major with pre-med emphasis. I am from Northern CA.

USC is 5k more than Tulane for me.

Is the extra 5k in loans?
I would say USC.

Tulane is not in the same league academically. 5K is not a lot I would go to USC.

Easy, Tulane. You’d be closer to Texas.

Same caliber students, completely different environments. Two good options to have. USC will have better networking on the West Coast, Tulane on the East. USC will have much better athletic teams. Tulane is in a much more unique city. LSU fans will hate you no matter where you go Best of luck!

LA (los angeles) > LA (louisiana)

lol, have to agree with you there. Except it’s New Orleans vs Los Angeles, where I think So Cal is trumped (particularly when we’re talking about someone young) by the Big Easy. I’d rather live in Los Angeles long term, but New Orleans for 4 years in my early twenties couldn’t be beat.

So OP, which did you pick?

I’m going to be the newest member of Tulane’s Class of 2010 :D

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You’ll love Tulane.

xxabii - that’s great!! Welcome to the family.
