USC or UC Berkeley??

USC - university of spoiled children. Don't go there. You have an amazing opportunity to go to Cal, take it. It's social life is definitely underrated: there is SO much to do, all of the time. People have great school spirit, Thursday is big party night. Cal has a greek system, though within the last two years, the administration has tightened up its rules and have become a lot stricter. And USC is not "very prestiguous" at all. The vibe at Cal is very friendly, social, fun, and competitive. If you can, go see for yourself.

bayarea you have absolutely no idea what your talking about. Your what 17 or 18 and I'm guessing you can't comment on either college with first hand experience. Have you ever been to USC? Have you ever taken classes there? Are you aware of what USC has done to better itself over the past 5 years? I'm not saying its better than Cal, but to take it to your extreme is a little unfair.

Judging Berkeley based on high school students touring? That's pretty harsh, and doesn't make much sense. It's not that everyone should love every school or anything, but at any school, would this make sense?

I agree with sakky and G and S.

UCB is better than USC.
