As my husband was sorting through the mail today, he held up an unmarked envelope that looked to me to be one of those junk mail magazine subscription type of letters and said, "This looks like junk, should I toss it?" Turned out it was our football and parent picnic tickets for Parent's Weekend. Glad we opened it! Keep your eyes out for your tickets, it did not say USC on the envelope.

Thank You Bessie!

Exact same thing happened to me, bessie. I almost tossed it out without even opening. Whew!

Anything valuable should always be sent unmarked in the mail, if not so valuable to be sent insured or certified

Yeah, I thought of that AFTER I almost tossed it in the trash. Good idea, though. Wonder what else I have thrown away?!

The mail you described did not arrive yet.

I haven't received it yet either and I live in So Cal. Went through the trash yesterday to check if I'd tossed it but it wasn't there. I have to assume it didn't arrive before Friday (hopefully).

Just FYI, it's a smallish gray window style envelope with green sawtooth edging with the words "first class" and a large PO Box 7941, Los Angeles, CA 90007 in the left corner. Maybe it's the generic font of the printed address inside the window that gives it a very throw-this-away feel. lol.

No such mail here yet.

My Football tickets have not arrived yet. I would love to hear that others have not arrived yet as well and that there is no problem - or should I start worrying?

Sorry, we got ours on 9/9.

If you don't get your tickets in another week, I suggest you call and make sure your payment went through.

Did you get yours already, mdcissp?

i haven't received mine yet.

bmom, we can sit outside the stadium together and listen to the game on the radio!

only if they refund my money! LOL

from mdcissp: USC mailed the football and picnic ticket. We have those tickets.

I called USC tickets office and they said they are sending tickets out in waves(just like admission letters, haha), some tickets were misprinted and had to be reprinted.

Should we start a "Theory on the Tickets" thread or ask for "chances" of getting them in time?

(Thanks for the info, Columbia!)

Which picnic tickets--for Friday or for Saturday? We haven't received anything for Friday at all.
