USC Question

Is it difficult to switch majors within USC. If I get admitted as a Poly Sci major, will I have difficulty transfering to Virtebi School of Engineering, or is it not a problem assuming that your High School Grades are good?

Thanks

Far better to apply to Viterbi Engineering, start there, and switch to Political Science if Engineering is not for you. Another possibility is to be a Poli Sci major and see if you can do a minor at Viterbi. USC is big on minors. I think your high school grades are important when you first apply to USC. Once a student starts USC, I think your grades at USC is what counts (not your high school grades). High enough AP scores count.

Uh, what if I decide that Poltical Science is not for me and want to change into Engineering. Do they make it very difficult to switch or is it something you just make a call on and your done.

My Math Scores are in the high 600 range so I don't think I have a chance of getting in during undergraduate admissions. But I do think I have a good chance of being admitted into Poly Science. I just wanna know if it is REALLY difficult to change.

Why not post this in the USC thread?
