Hi, I just joined CC and this is my first post
I got back from many colleges past week and I found out I got into University of Southern California.
I waz kinda happy till i checked the website and student review that USC's fitness center/weight room iz really baddd and got me worried cuz weight room and sport facility are big parts of my decision. Depending on a weight room, i may go NYU over USC so its pretty important for me
So my question is
1) Does the Lyon center or watever, USC GYM, have Power Rack/Power Cage? (not the smith machine one but the one you can do real squats and bench from)
2) IF they dont have power rack, would it be possible for me to just buy power rack on my own and just donate it?
3)Also is the basketball court open at like 5:30 or 6 in the morning, cuz i wanna practice in an empty gym and try out for USC bball team,?
thx for reading this post and for answering it if u will

1) a power rack is a really basic piece of gym equipment. I would be surprised if they didn’t have one. I’m sure they do since alot of guys like to weight train.

2) I don’t know.

3) If you can find an outdoor court, I’m sure it would be fine to play early in the morning. It looks like Lyon Recreational Center is open 6am- midnight weekdays and 11am- midnight weekends.

I’d suggest going and taking a look at the gym if you live nearby… or call the gym!

^There’s an outdoor court right beside the music & cinema schools, in addition to the more polished ones inside fitness buildings.

& I’m sure USC has all the equipment you could ask for, they’re big on sports over here.

Thx for answering these questions, i kinda got worried since the avg rating of Lyon Center was 2/5 and reviewrs said the gym lacks some basic stuff i wish i can visit but i live in chicago…

People usually don’t rate things unless they are unhappy with it, I wouldn’t worry about it.

^Thx, that actually makes sense:P
