Does anyone know when USC traditionally releases their RD decisions?

March 29

Can anyone comment on whether rejections are released the same date?

I believe USC will admit or deny or waitlist … on March 29.

I thought there was no waitlist at USC.

Are the decisions released by email or only on their portal?

USC has not waitlisted students in the past. Admission decisions will be mailed (snail mail) on 3/26 and then available via USConnect on 3/29 at noon PT.

They don’t waitlist because they already admit 3x the number of students they can fit, in order to maximize yield.

Thank you for let us know it will be USC’s final decision.

Lilliana,

All elite colleges/universities admit more students than are expected to enroll. Some admit more than others to fill spots in the new freshmen class. SC is considered highly selective, admitting slightly less than 20% of freshmen applicants.
Here is a partial list of respected universities that admitted a higher percentage of appllicants than SC did for the entering class in August 2013:

The acceptance packages received via regular mail are very beautiful. They tend to arrive before the online notification in many parts of the country. At least that is the goal. That old fashion reaction at the mailbox can be really special!
