strong ec's, decent essays, i think good recs?, attended architecture program at USC last summer

arch applicants also had to submit a portfolio to be evaluated separately by the dept (as opposed to the admissions office, which only admits students to USC itself, not the architecture dept) so i guess that was a large factor for my major as well

its obvious you worked at UCLA

rpvsurfer-do you really think thats why megathunder was rejected? thats shady

for the UC essay about how you made use of your educational opportunities, i talked about the summer program i attended at USC..i knew it was risky to send that to UCLA, but i learned a lot from it, so i had a lot to say about it..low and behold, i was rejected..i did get into other UC's that i applied to (san diego, davis, waiting on berkeley), but do you think that essay could be one of the reasons i was rejected? i tend to think that it is, although my average stats probably played a part haha

accepted (korean american here) 1st generation..very competitive high school.

ec's-eh couple good ones. decent enough i guess

no WAY...megathunder howd u get rejected?!!! you shoulda got in. appeal. demand to know what was wrong. i know for sure ur stats are well above average.also..breakaway..don't believe this!!! they can't rejected people just for doing research at rival schools. dat is ridiculous...im gonna ask my counselor for sure on that one.

i really dont know what got me in, my stats are really low compared to most people but i have to say i have taken the most difficult classes at my school and my SAT score is one of the highest at my school so maybe it didnt affect me so much

yeah i think the highest one was a low 1300 and there is about 3 more in the mid 1200's and mines is next in the list and theres some over 1000 but below 1100 while everyone else has a score below 1000 some of the lowest are about 600

Hey megathunder,

Maybe there's an explanation but the stats you give on the USC thread is DIFFERENT than they one you gave on a thread. your SAT scores and GPA are different. and so are the SAT IIs.

accepted to viterbi
