Hey everyone, I received a letter inviting me to apply to the RHP at USC and I’d like to get some insight from anybody knowledgeable with the program. How many people are asked to apply for this program? How many students are admitted? Anything else I should be aware of? Thank you.

It could be a mass mailing - have you taken the SAT or ACT yet?
The website has some great info https://dornsife.usc.edu/resident-honors-program/
Looks like they admit 15 to 20 per year into the program.
According to an old website that came up when I googled the program, typical Resident Honors student has a cumulative SAT score above 2200 (again, an old website) and a high school GPA above 4.0.
@jmek15 Took the ACT in 8th grade(33). Currently 4.0 uw gpa and 4.52 w gpa. Current courses are
Calculus BC
AP Physics
AP Lang
STEM 3
Applied Oriented JAVA
AP USH
Junior Class President
Thanks for the info
RHP based on PSAT or other early taken test scores. It is a small program.
@CADREAMIN Thanks. Took PSAT last year in 10th grade and got 1460 but it didn’t count. Pretty sure I did better this year but won’t find out until December.
My son got it too, looks like it’s a mass mailing to high PSAT scorers.
@yucca10 Good to know, thank you.
