USC rules

down with UCLA!!!!!!!!!!

UCLA is way better. SC sucks!!!!!!!

Go kill yourself please.

Ravinda, I applied and was accepted to UCLA in one of their most impacted majors, polysci. I know several friends of mine who go there, and I did not like what I saw. First off, they're crammed into tiny condos with like 5 roommates. Secondly, all of them complain about how they never get into the classes they need. The reason why I chose USC over UCLA is because its the ultimate university which meets a students every academic need, comined with the highly social environment, both of which UCLA lacks. Asides from that, USC is climing the ladder of prestige year by year, while UCLA has been slowly but surely going down the rankings. USC has just begun. Have you seen all the construction going around USC which the school bought? UCLA was a big name school, but its slowly loosing the prestige which it once had.

heheh, at orientation last week I'd estimate that 9/10 Californians there had gotten accepted to UCLA or Berkeley, but chose USC instead!

dam homie, well said. everyone knows UCLA (and every other UC except for berkeley) is a school full of a flock of sheep comin in and out, and at UCs, they're treated as such.

USC is the most well-rounded school in the nation IMO.

Do you not have a life? Do you prowl the USC message board for no reason other than to check out what proud USC students are saying, and to find an opportune moment in which to bash USC to get on our nerves?

Go away. You're boring and annoying and obviously bored if you're malevolently posting on a messageboard about a school you don't belong to.

You're obviously a typical UCLA idiot. I bet the UCLA board doesn't get random USC students hijacking posting space with their insulting spew. It's always idiot Bruins.

thats for sure. It seems their school isn't keeping them busy enough.

I had always thought that trojans had an inferiority complex to UCLA, and the malicious and completely unwarranted reaction to my factual statement only confirms this. As a Bruin, I responded to OPs hurtful statement in kind. It was my duty. Its as simple as that.

magic stick: i rather live

student4u: you think UCLA has a bad social scene. What the hell have you been smoking? Have you ever wondered why SC people come to westwood to hang out? At least on this side of LA, we don't have to carry a pocket knife and a semi-automatic just to go get milk from the local minit mart.

" had always thought that trojans had an inferiority complex to UCLA"

Oh. Poor Ravindra. So Bruin-whipped. Or you should lay off the pipe, maybe.

Trojans don't feel inferior to Bruins. Unless they have always aimed to be annoying pests. Bruins have always been better at that than Trojans.

"the malicious and completely unwarranted reaction to my factual statement only confirms this."

Completely unwarranted reaction? Your "SC sucks" is completely unwarranted. You're not supposed to be on this board. Does the UCLA board suck so much you have nowhere else to prowl? I'm guessing yes.

"At least on this side of LA, we don't have to carry a pocket knife and a semi-automatic just to go get milk from the local minit mart."

The "USC sucks, it's in the ghetto" insult is so old. If you were less of an annoying idiot and troll, you would have found something more original and truthful to attempt to insult USC with. But it is hard to imagine you as less of an annoying idiot and troll.

Now, really, why are you here? You REALLY prowl the USC message posts just so you can find a reason to bash it?

Wow! How cool! Do ALL UCLA students suck as much as you do?!?!

ah, just let the doggy have his day. There's no reason why we have to justify anything to this looser, after all he's nothing more than just a number.

I've learned in my two years at USC that no matter what you say, no matter how many good arguments you have, no matter how many untruths you try to set straight, people who are against USC will not budge. I must admit I still get sucked in at times, but, sadly, there's nothing we can do. UCLA students are constantly going to bring up inferior academics, basketball, spoiled students, and the "ghetto" area, and most of the time nothing we say is going to get rid of these stereotypes. We can only be the bigger man.

I do think those make UCLA students worse persons.

If indeed they truly believed that they are better than us in everything, why do they need to hate on us 24/7? do they constantly need to convince themselves of this? have they got nothing better to do, aren't they sure anymore? Is that how the Bruins work, by constantly picking on the "inferior" to make themselves feel "superior"?

In such case, wouldnt Pepperdine University make a more "worthy" adversary and cross-town rival? afterall, they are based in presitigious Malibu, right by the beach. the fact is, UCLA students are jealous of us Trojans. they simply can't handle the fact that we're fast on our way to the top, while they're stagnating. i say if it makes them sleep better at night, lets let these babies imagine what they wish

Pepperdine is not of the caliber that UCLA and USC are. Pepperdine is for those who didn't get into UCLA or USC.

Isn't Pepperdine a heavily religiously-affiliated school? I'm sure it is affiliated with one of the denominations of Christianity, just not sure which one.

Sirwatson, I know that Pepperdine doesn't measure up to the caliber of UCLA and USC. However, in the minds of bruins, USC doesn't measure up to them. I was simply making the point that if Bruins really did believe that USC's academics sucks, and how they constantly mock us for the location we're based in, then in such case why don't they choose pepperdine as a rival? and the answers because pepperdine sucks. Bruins aren't constantly firing at us because our academics sucks, but because they're afraid. Theyre just taking pre-emptive strikes to play with our morale, which is futile.

I was skimming though my college guidebook; Pepperdine is a conservative, evangelical, Churches-of-Christ affiliated university.

About UCLA: student4u, you hit it right on the dot.

"Bruins aren't constantly firing at us because our academics sucks, but because they're afraid."

That's exactly right. If they really, TRULY believed themselves to be superior, Bruins wouldn't feel the need to so anxiously and continually insult every aspect of a Trojan education/experience. They're often practically merciless. I can't count how many sneering Bruins I've encountered, going on the offense against USC for really no reason at all. It's not like I see as many USC people START insults or try to get people angry.

It's-- no exaggeration--- usually Bruins who try to start something. It's very unfortunate. If anything sends off "inferiorty complex" vibes, it's certain Bruins who are overtly hostile to Trojans.

Though it sounds overly dramatic, I think "fear" is an aspect of the feelings. It's all about competition and prestige and reputation and rank. They're nervous about how good USC is getting. So they try to put it down. It's like that in all sorts of cases.

People (coughBruinscough) will deride and insult and put down what they're threatened by (us).
