No status changes, just the generic “…it appears we require no additional information at this time…”

Hey so maybe I should have clarified, but I’m an internal Tisch transfer and was accepted to Film/TV at NYU.
Anyways, got an email today requesting an Unofficial Transcript with the list of courses I’m taking for the Spring. Not grades.

Hey guys I applied for Animation and Digital Arts and trying to transfer from Glendale Community College.

I heard that last year the SCA heard back last :|

I got the freshman April 1st status today for production…

That’s encouraging. It’s looking like we’ll probably see decisions rolled out next week for us.
I hope.

I got the freshman April 1st status change today.

What does that mean?

I really wish I had the April first status change, I definitely feel like it would give me some sense of comfort. With the generic June First status I feel completely hopeless that an acceptance will come my way at all.

■■■■ ■■■■ ■■■■ ■■■■!!! I got accepted!!! It says :“enrollment commitment deposit” on usc connect. Omg. Omg. What do i do? Where do i go? Omg.

Congrats! What do you do? Pack. Where do you go? CALIFORNIA!!

Denied for first choice: SCA Film Production ![]()
Accepted into second choice: Dornsife Narrative studies

Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer into SCA once admitted into USC?

Thank you very much. I just can’t decide between staying here at NYU Film/TV or leaving all my friends/ everything I know plus I’m on track to graduate 1 year early and with SC I’d be back to two years, but I guess we will see what fin aid can do.

I am NOT an expert, but I think that an internal transfer is no easier than an external one. If you don’t want to be at USC in Dornsife, I’d think twice about making the switch. There are no guarantees, and you might need to extend your education to complete the degree if you can transfer into SCA as USC does not accept transfer credit for the film courses.

mid year graded from SCA production

got the mid year grade report box as well. so anxious. has any other SCA applicant heard back yet?

rejected from SCA today…

Sorry to hear that Eppy. Just remember Spielberg got rejected several times from USC SCA and it didn’t hurt his career one bit! You can still be successful in the field, where ever you complete your education.

Hey if anybody here was accepted into SCA as a transfer for 12/13 feel free to join my FaceBook group. That way we can all get to know each other!

@ajrover: Hey, congrats by the way! I’m applying this year to USC SCA for Film Production, and I wanted to know if u wrote about film for both your common app personal statement and sca personal statement? Thanks

@midtriplet I talked about how I came to do filmmaking and what sets me apart from other people-- in my views of film.
