If I submitted my Common Application and USC Supplement on 12/1 but the college downloaded the forms on 12/2, does it still count as the 12/1 scholarship deadline?

I also received a "thank you for applying" email today (12/7) which says apps will be reviewed through March and decisions sent by April. Do they say this about the scholarship deadline as well? From what I know they review these early submissions by January and let applicants know if they are scholarship candidates, and require interviews which are held before the final April decisions.

Am I correct? And most importantly, am I considered for scholarship???

If you have an e-receipt for your common app that lists the date as 12/1, you should be fine. But it would be fine for you to email (or call) your USC adcom rep and double check. It will help you relax during this trying time! Best of luck.

I am sure you are fine too if you submitted by midnight on the first. The kids who hear in January will be accepted and asked to interview for one of the big scholarships (1/2 tuition or above). This notification comes by mail only although my son’s year, some of us found the back door online to get the news early. They quickly shut it down though and it didn’t work last year at all. I believe in previous years the 1/4 scholarship people found out in late March, although I am not sure what happened last year. No interview is required for that scholarship. Most will hear in late April. Even if they applied for scholarships. Hope this helps! I do think some got letters last year saying they were not being considered for a big scholarship and they would hear about admission in April, but I don’t think everyone got one of those. There were lots of mail issues last year and all notification is done by mail.
