Is the USC December 1st Scholarship deadline only met if the applicant has submitted the application AND the official score reports and high school transcript or is the deadline just that the applicant has the application submitted in by then with the other items soon to follow?

We were at USC yesterday and the admissions officer said as long as the application is submitted before December 1, you will be considered for merit scholarships. The rest can come after the Dec. 1 deadline.

Ok phew! Thanks!

This question is asked every year, and tasmom has provided an accurate answer. What happens each year, however, is that each time the answer is passed on, the amount of time after December 1st gets extended until they are talking about submitting materials significantly past the deadline.

Here is a thread from 2010 that tried to sum up the answer http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/819609-2010-applicants-answer-dec-1st-deadline-everything.html and provides some timeline info that explains why you do indeed want to get your materials in ASAP.

Good luck!

Do official AP scores need to be sent by Dec 1st for merit scholarship? If not by what date?
Thank you?

Official AP scores are sent after acceptance and after you have selected which university you will attend. The most convenient time to send is to designate the school which you will attend as an automatic score recipient when you take your May, 2014 AP tests - all your scores will go with that report. (Remember, by May 1st you WILL know where you will be attending!)

Good luck.

Thank you for quick response alamemom.
