Hi there USC students\prospective students\anyone who wants to help!!

Sooo nerve-wracking this application process!! I was basically wondering what would constitute as a good chance of getting a full tuition scholarship. Essays\SAT scores\ GPA\strong ECs? Are there clear cut-offs? Is there something specific I can do to increase chances? What is the decision mainly based on??

Those of you who got a good scholarship - what were your stats??

I want to apply to USC SCA and really need the Trustee/Mork scholarship, given I can't even afford half of USC's tuition. (And I don't qualify for the FAFSA)

Would also love to hear your USC experiences... And any other sort of relevant info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

If you run a search for accepted students and look at the first group that was accepted at the end of Jan, you will see their stats - most were invited to the Pres/Trustee scholarship interviews. USC uses a holistic approach, all are pretty high achievers but even with high stats there are no guarantees. The scholarships are based on many pieces with scores only a part.

There is a ton of info on this forum about the interview process and that should give you a good idea. I believe Mork and Stamps have their own set of “ideals” but have no idea what those are. The Trustee/Pres scholarships are also distributed within the major or school you are admitted to which can make a difference as well. You want to be on the lookout for those that interviewed with SCA as their major when searching the admitted stats but if you are a portfolio admit, that is taken into consideration as well. Sorry, there is no surefire way to tell who will be invited and who will not - all you can do is try.
