USC Scholarship results notification date?

xogenxo,

The NMScholarship is for 1/2 tuition and a $1000 dollar per year NMSFoundation scholarship. This is automatic if a student enrolls and names SC as their first choice university.

Individual schools at SC such as Viterbi, Annenberg and Marshall MAY consider top students for their own scholarships. These would be in addition to the NMS funds, but range in value. As of this date none of these individual school awards have been announced.

If a student has filled out the financial aid forms and sent them by the proper deadline, there is the possibility of receiving financial aid in addition to the NMS. Alamemom has explained this in more detail in the financial aid thread.

I’m an international and just got the letter from USC today, saying that I didn’t get the Trustee/Presidential. It was dated 28th January. Mail really does take very long to travel across the world…

Oh well… Hoping for March to be a better month!

Have any intended Viterbi Engineering majors gotten the Trustee/Presidential or the most recently received Dean’s scholarship offers?

im in the same boat as you, Awesome Bread. I just got named a NMF but have yet to receive ANY communication from USC. I named USC my first choice, does that mean I will get half tuition if I am admitted in April?

Yup!

^^^jshain, my son is an intended Viterbi Engineering major and Presidential finalist. I asked this same question on the thread listed below. There were several others who responded.

SimpleLife, Thanks for providing this link. It had been a while since I read it and a lot more posts are now on it!

Is it a good practice to touch base with your assigned Admissions Counselor?

USC has begun mailing the 2011-2012 admission packets. My son received his today. As you can imagine, he’s very excited he was selected. Yes, like all other elite schools, I’d imagine USC received a record number of applications this year and can afford to be very selective, so best of luck to everyone out there who applied. Everyone deserves credit for even trying and everyone who gets in should count themselves very fortunate. If you accept, you’re going to be attending a phenomenal university.
