…or maybe USC doesn’t like us :p

Which would be depressing since I love USC.

…or maybe USC doesn’t like us :p

Which would be depressing since I love USC.

haha yea, that is kind of identifying. Especially if you start listing the names and places where you worked, etc. But don’t worry.

I don’t have anything to hide, really, it’s just that I wouldn’t really want people to see us freaking out like we are. I wonder if admissions people look through these threads, then one of them might give us a definitive answer about this status stuff.

Or maybe they love Anchorage, or California (maybe specifically Los Angeles applicants) better? Garrr I don’t know

Maybe if they see us freaking out, they’ll know how ethusiastic we are about USC and reward us with an acceptance:) Then again, they could also think that we just have some sort of anxiety disorder, which would not bode well.

I think she means that because “bcoop”, my username, gives someone an idea as to who I am, plus the fact that I’m the only applicant from my school- if someone in admissions were to look me up, it’d be easy to find.

haha so many possibilities…By the way…your 2400 SAT is impressive…I only say I got a 2300ish–both for privacy, and to make myself feel better cuz, well my real score could possibly slightly lower than 2300ish =/

Still, if you’re status hasn’t changed yet, then maybe BigKev is right about how there might be hope for others.

Yeah man, it’s not like I posted anything incriminating on these boards…yet. :D

I just want to know. The indecision is whats killing me.

Oh right that might be what they are talking about in identifying info. In any case, I dont usually share my real details online though…as a precaution.

Heh what do you mean by incriminating?

@funnyman4: Thanks! And even if your SAT is slightly below 2300, it’s still extremely impressive for USC (above hte 75th percentile) and should put you for scholarship consideration.
@BigKev: I agree. We haven’t posted anything profane and the only personal info we’ve posted has been fairly generic. At worst, we’ll be perceived as a group of overly anxious and perhaps slightly paranoid Trojan fans!

haha thanks…slightly off topic, what does that little tag at the corner of a thread you created mean? I just can’t figure it out. My guess is that it is “tagged,” but does that mean something good or something bad?

BigKev, don’t worry about that mail. I got absolutely junk for mail today…But keep in mind, many of the scholarship notifications last year were postmarked 1/26…that’s postmarked. They arrived like in the first week in February. That is what I have read on some posts. Don’t fret about the paper mail yet. There’s a reason why they call it snail mail =)

I don’t live in Anchorage. But you won’t find out where I do. And it’s not URM, even though I sorta qualify for it. Minnie isnt. WHO KNOWS.

haha don’t take it the wrong way. I wasn’t trying to figure out where you lived. =)

Jason. I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE AND GO TO SCHOOL…

But you’re my bro, so I’m not gonna reveal it or anything. ;)

Oh i know you aren’t funny haha. Just saying, i’m not revealing anything ;)

BigKev, I know where you live and go to school lol. What was up with the weather today… -30 is totally ridiculous. There was a 100 degree temperature difference between us and USC :P

I applied for BME and my status is still “preliminary review.” I got a 2140 and 3.8 GPA so I’m praying for a scholarship interview, if only for the fact that I’ll know if I got in earlier rather than later. If it’s true about them sending letters about whether you get a scholarship or not, that would be nice because then I wouldn’t have to worry about it getting lost or anything. As for the March 20 date… I guess that’s cool. Specific dates kinda suck though because then I inevitably end up counting down the days/hours until then. I’ve already checked my status like 100 times since reading this thread -.-

Haha what can I say, we’re a close knit USC applicant group.

But yeah, the weather was awful. I went to the Y to lift today and I decided that when I was done, I didn’t want to go through the trouble of putting my pants on over my shorts. After all, my car was not even two minutes away. Big mistake. My legs felt as if they were icicles.

Golly! Sorry if I freaked anyone out - I did not at ALL mean to say any of you had revealed too much! In years past, I have seen kids post too much personal info (pictures of admission letters, exact details of fin aid packages, etc…) or a big rant that could easily be figured out. It was just a suggestion for future posts - I don’t see anything anyone should be worried about here - and I do not think USC admissions spends time looking at College Confidential for anything other than amusement, anyway :)

Post on!

We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. You may submit them at USConnect by clicking “mid-year grade reports”, or by visiting www.usc.edu/midyeargrades. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will mail a written request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly
