@jstuart1 Awesome! I’m a stage management applicant. Is USC your top choice? Out of curiosity, what are a few of your other choice schools?
My S applied BA Acting. It is his dream school. Praying for all of us!!!
@een222 Yes, USC is my top. I’ve gotten into Pepperdine & LMU so far and I’m just waiting on USC and CMC!!
Has anyone received an RSVP Invitation SDA’s Open House in April?
This has been a hot topic the past few years and I’m surprised to have heard nothing of it so far.
@een222 I haven’t gotten anything. Maybe they stopped this year
@jstuart1 I guess it’s quite possible they realized people were trying to use it as an indication of whether or not they were going to receive an acceptance.

While the SDA RSVP Invitation as an early indicator of admission when received in the week prior to the official admission package was common in 2016 and before… I cannot actually point to cases of such in 2017 or 2018. I at least do not recall them being posted last year here on CC. I would have to search and see if there were any in 2016. But such is likely no longer applicable. It seems like it may have been discontinued. Maybe they have learned that they need to send such invitations simultaneously with admission or thererafter… maybe even via email versus in the mail. Maybe someone who gets in will actually post as to when they received it.
@WWWard From what I’ve read it seems that last year’s RSVP invitations were sent by email.

Just received a very generic SDA email to ALL applicants. Means nothing - they were very clear about that. But I promised I would keep you posted.
My S just received that SDA email too, was kind of confused initially when it said ‘Update’!
I definitely did not receive this email. Getting concerned
@een222 did you check your spam folder or any chance they have more than one email address for you?
@een222 also it came from a guys name so definitely check spam or maybe you just didn’t notice it in your inbox. They made it VERY clear it was generic so don’t fret. ???
I just found an invitation that I got back in december to the SDA Open House on April 6. It is stamped 12/18/2018
@jstuart1 that’s not the one others were referencing… they used to do it in December to all applicants and then again as an RSVP Invitation to those being admitted a week before the admissions went out in March.
Any admits for SDA yet?
