<p>hey guys I got a SGR last year, and so far not this year. I just wanted to let everyone know keep faith and keep working hard! I know its a difficult time becuase we dont know whats going one! But dont lose faith just becuase you got a SGR. You still have just as good of a chance as anyone else! FIGHT ON! I hope i get to meet everyone at USC, cause we all deserve it</p>
<p>Heyy guys! I received an SGR about a week ago. When I applied last year I got one as well but later I sadly was rejected. I’m keeping my fingers crossed this year

<p>I got an SGR from USC on 4/23/11. Then submitted my spring grades a few days ago and got my status update saying i should hear my decision by june 1st.</p>
<p>Transfer from a so cal CC with 75 total units done and a 3.88 GPA. I think i got the SGR because i needed to fulfill my math req.</p>
<p>i can’t wait for my finals to be over tomorrow so i can turn in my spring grades already!! anyone doing the grade cards for unofficial grades from their profs? i’m hoping i can fax those over to usc by next week and hear from them before june 1! when i called the admission office they said they do SGRs with everyone at the same time and i won’t hear until july…i hope this is false :(</p>
<p>my GPA rose a good amount from applying last year, and its hard to tell why one may get a SGR. For example, I am an Annenberg applicant and currently taking statistics, but unlike WunNyne, have not recieved an SGR. I havent even fulfilled all GE’s prior to completing my app. The only things that I do know is my finals are done tomorrow, Im gonna get my transcript with my current grades on it, and run it over to USC asap just for some reinforcement</p>
<p>i got a SGR in the mail today… even though I already sent my official transcript… Weird thing is that I didn’t expect to hear back until at least mid-June because I applied way past the deadline. I hope thats good news…
Very nervous ! applying as a poli sci major. from a 4-year private school.</p>
<p>I’m in stats right now too and my regional counselor lady told me usc requested the SGR not annenberg</p>
<p>Finally. I got my SGR in the mail.</p>
<p>It is such good news, because I have a very good chance of being accepted. </p>
<p>They had to request the grades, because I only took 9 units that were academic courses my first semester of college. </p>
<p>And I took 18 units my second semester. </p>
<p>I will be transferring as a sophomore, and I have one A- so far.</p>
<p>I am so… freakin’ excited.</p>

<p>My counselor said stats isnt required for admission, the only math requirement is pre-cal i thought</p>
<p>I’m also an SGR-ee. My counselor said they await my math grade because I took a calculus class last year for credit only, and they needed to see a graded claculus class instead. My grade should be out sometime this week, but I’m sure I won’t get accepted because I did just average (math is definitely not my forte)</p>
<p>I am currently fufiling a math course that is transferable (stats) and my major course, as well as a science course…</p>
<p>have people ever done better in the past and still get denied after given an SGR?
this makes me so nervous I hope to get a 3.7 or 4.0, I don’t know whether or not to rush my grades to USC or wait to get my official transcripts with my club involvement and extra community service and internships I have done? </p>

<p>@trojanlove…yes, I am doing the grade cards…I ordered an official transcript to be sent to sc as well, but I figuree I will run over my grades to them personally =) too…I also spoke with my counselor and he said it would be fine to hand deliver anything else that may add to my application (I had asked about a letter of rec)…today I am doing my last final which is a take home for western lit. </p>
<p>here are my “stats” I am currently taking 5 courses that fulfill the GE’s for USC i htink categories i,iii, and iv…a science w/ lab and two lit courses then i am taking spanish 3 and a math course. I’m a psych major and stats has to be taken at sc.</p>
<p>I had maybe 30 transferrable units when applied and my current spring semester is a total of 18 units, so I am sure this is why I got SGR’d…</p>
<p>oop forgot…I had 3.8 gpa at time of app…I believe I am getting a 4.0 this semester (unless a completely bombed my math final yesterday, which is totally possible). I am sooo not a math person. </p>
<p>OH and if you guys take a look at last years decision thread you will see that almost every single person who received an SGR ended up being accepted :-)</p>

<p>I know I know, but I am just trying to find anything positive to grab on to, LOL. </p>
<p>grade cards are just something from your prof that has your grade, class, units and the prof signature…you give them (your professors) a stamped self addressed grade card and they fill out and mail to you. generally, they will arrive b4 your grades are posted, so it is just a faster way to get your grades into sc…on the letter I received asking for my spring grades they gave a list of ways to get your grades into them asap, and grade cards was one of the options.</p>
<p>Yea i did that too, i had all my teachers just fill out the form from my school and then sent it in. Im going to mail in my transcript today as well</p>

<p>"OMG GUYS. so, i’m at internship and i haven’t checked all day but i FINALLY checked and the committee is reviewing my application!! just so you guys know, i was SGR around april 22nd-ish. my semester ended may 3rd and i received my grades by may 6th. i uploaded my transcript may 6th and it was processed this monday, may 16. today, i just got the “committee reviewing” status. good luck everyone - i’m so nervous. </p>
<p>(PS, when the transcripts are sent in for sgr, if they don’t update your status to ‘we have received your spring grades’ within a week or so, call them. make sure they have them and then they will let you know if they have been processed or not. i called on monday and a counselor said they were there. i called tuesday and the other counselor said they were processed the previous day and my status was changed)</p>
