help!!!! I love them both. I'm pretty sure had i been admitted to usc in the fall i would be choosing that...but the spring makes everything confusing. $$ is a concern, but not a deal breaker. (Btw..at USC I'm an International Relations major and at UCSB I'm global studies)
Any advice would be helpful.

I would choose USC. If you’re a spring admit, then go to SMC do some course there and you’re set at USC in the Spring :)

Spring doesn’t make everything confusing. You just enroll a little bit later than everybody else.

go to ucsb in the fall and plan on still going to usc for spring.

but who knows you might fall in love with ucsb and wanna stay there. ucsb is an amazing school, the only thing that matters is that you get a good education and that you’re happy :)

thanks everyone! its funny…i posted this on the ucsb forum and heard the opposite hahaha. they were like going in the spring is awful and everything…i guess i just have to decide for myself :/

ray,
Check out the Facebook Class of 2014-Official. Many students who are enrolling have posted there. You will find under discussions a list of students who will be spring admits. Some are getting together to meet and make friends. They will connect again in the spring.

If you read some of the comments from students who have NOT been admitted to SC they would gladly change places with you.

Some universities put students on long waiting lists. Most of those students will never be admitted. YOU are IN! It will be a short time which you could use as a mini gap. Think about earning money/and or taking some of the GEs to have them over before you enroll at SC. You can do a travel/study program, enhance your writing skills, do community service or start your own business. Make this small setback into an opportunity.

There will be an EXplore in December for spring admits. You will meet students there from all over the country.

people are having to steal add codes at ucsb to stay enrolled… also whta difference does it make if u enroll in usc in fall or spring? none really imo

yeah your right…the more i think of it the more i realize maybe the extra few months is a GOOD thing. thanks for pointing out the positives…i guess sometimes i feel as though i wasnt really admitted?

heh no one is going to look down on u (or cares) because u were a spring admit or even a transfer :)
