<p>How difficult is it to get a waiver? We have a very good BC/BS PPO policy with an HSA however i think the "family" deductible is $3000 and their criteria says maximum individual deductible of $2500. The policy appears to meet everything else.</p>
<p>My DS goes to a different school, but last year it wasn’t a problem. I searched on the health site and found the form. It took a few weeks and cost was removed before tuition bill was due.</p>
<p>You can go right into the University Park Health Cebter site and dowload the Waiver for the Student Health Insurance Plan. We’ve done it every year - It’s easy to have removed. </p>

<p>There is also a “Student Health Service Fee” of about $250 that is not optional. It allows your student access to many Health Services on campus. See link below</p>

<p>They do verify that your policy meets or exceeds their requirements. You may want to contact them and see if this difference will keep you from being able to opt out.</p>
