USC summer high school program

Hey I just applied to the USC summer High School Program. The app fee was 45$ but nowhere did I see anything about tuition.

Does anyone know how much the tuition for the program is, and is their anywhere I can apply for scholarships? thanks!

If your talking about the one month program…it’s around 5.4k if I remember correctly, and just an FYI it’s really easy to get in and is basically a way to scrap up extra $$ for the school…I applied and got in the day after my stuff was complete lol, didn’t end up going

the person above me is right about it being easy to get into, although I don’t remember it being quite as much (but don’t quote me on that!). as far as I know they give VERY few scholarships. ONE girl in my business class of 60 got one because she won some national business award and she’s the only one I heard of.

but if you get in, i highly recommend going. I may be biased, but it was seriously the best summer of my life and, over a year later, I still keep in touch with some of the people I met. It’s probably not the most academically challenging, but it’s a well rounded program that really lets you get the college experience.

good luck with everything :]

I’m applying to USC’s high school program too! But i was wondering when you get notified about your acceptance/rejection? Do they notify you right after they’ve checked your application, or after the official deadline has passed? Are these enrolling admissions?

bump…

Anyone know when USC notifies you about your acceptance/rejection for summer school?

You pretty much automatically get in-- I got in the day after my app was complete (the morning)

Thanks. that’s great. I hope that it will increase my chances of admission. Im just going to suck up to all the professors when im there and get good recommendation letters.;)

^ The USC admissions office isn’t connected to the program, to be honest these summer programs (along with Lead America and all those) aren’t that big of a deal. I did Lead America at Stanford and was told by a few people to leave it off my application so I had space to add my freshman year of club soccer. It’s more about the experience because it really isn’t that prestigious.

Oh, that’s too bad!
But I’ll do anything to increase my chances even the slightest way.
