<p>Yes that is far too much. I just finished my common app essay which is supposed to be 500 words. An essay is usually 4-5 paragraphs. If you do the math that’s 100-125 words a paragraph. Submitting something that long may seem like you like to talk about yourself too much. Be concise and slim it down.</p>
