<p>"USC students are known to be involved. Briefly describe a non-academic pursuit (such as service to community or family, a club or sport, or work, etc.,) that best illustrates who you are, and why it is important to you. (250 word limit)"</p>
<p>How stingy are the USC admissions regarding how closely applicants follow the supplement question? This supplement asks for an non-academic pursuit and I wrote mine about an internship I did over summer 2014. I honestly can't think of any other non-academic item that describes my traits and values more than this internship does and this internship is honestly the most important extracurricular I did in my high school career. Would it still be okay to use this past internship instead of a present thing? I don't really have a current non-academic pursuit since it's not my sport's season yet and since the clubs I'm involved in in school just fall so short compared to this internship. I'm willing to rewrite my supplement if the internship topic really doesn't fit. PLEASE HELP!</p>
