USC TAP program

i just got accepted to the direct pharmacy program. I was wondering how hard the program is. For any of you current TAP freshmen, was the workload too rigorous, because I'm debating between regents at LA and USC. Thanks for any feedback.

Iunno how competitive it is, but I just got it in the mail today too and the folder is effing awesome. Black with gold, it's even better than the admission to USC folder. daymmm lol

Haha, you can buy those at the bookstore for like $2.

And I got my folder last week. I'm pretty excited. The recommended courses are pretty much exactly the same as the Biology B.A., with a few Econ, Psych, etc. courses thrown in.

haha i still think its nice XP

if my major is chem engineering right now, does it mean that my classes would be switched to these recommended courses instead?

bumpy bump =)

Nah, if your major doesn't have the classes, you'd have to take both.

Because "recommended" actually means "required", since those classes are prerequisites for pharm school at USC.

when u say both, do you mean like my 18+ units from chem engineering, along with my 16+ units in pharm. 'cus that's 34 units per semester and totally scares the shyt out of me --;;;

I hope the pharm thing replaces my chem eng major instead...

Haha no way. I mean throughout your 4 years, you need to somehow figure out how to fit those TAP classes into your schedule. I don't know how many elective credits ChemE has, but I don't think it's very many. You might want to talk to the TAP adviser about your major, because most TAP students major in either bio, biochem, neuroscience, health promotion, etc.

thanx for5aken, i will ask tat at the reception tomorrow =)

if you find out, could you post what the person said
cuz im a BME major and it’ll most likely take me 5 years to graduate
(if i do 4~5 classes per semester)
and on top of that, the pharmacy requirements are riduculous
i’ll be stuck as an undergraduate for like 10 years.

ummmm im applying to this program this year and i was wondering if this program is difficult to get into…
