Ok, is your name Rich, Sevan, or are you the guy from my business calc last semester?

nope, i haven't had any of those teachers you mentioned either

Ok, well I hope you get in. I know a girl @ GCC who got into UCLA and is waiting on Annenburg (sp?), she hasn't heard anything yet and I'm sure she'll get in. Hang in there man!

i got into ucla too, along with every other UC except for berkeley. do u know her stats? gpa and major

Day 20 .

well, i called USC and they are now requesting my spring grades because i am completing the math requirement this semester.

Student4u!!! That's an awesome sign!

I don't know that girl's stats, but she's a comms major hopeful.

I don't care what anyone says, if they ask for spring grades because of a pre-req, then they want you, and as long as you get an "A" in that class...

If I were you I'd try to get the teacher to write your grade down and sign it (as long it's good right now) and send that to SC with a note that it's your grade as of today and the official grade will be determined and sent in a couple weeks. During my orientations it was suggested that students submit "grade cards," which is similar to what I described.

And do it ASAP!!!

OMG this is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The days are going by soooo slow. I called USC a couple weeks ago and the lady told me once you send in your spring grades, they usually make a decision within five days. I called yesterday, when i sent my spring grades, and now some guy said its gonna take a few weeks!!!!!!!! I dont think I can wait that long!

<<<<<<<<<<<((((((((((((((((day 21))))))))))))))))))>>>>>>>>>>

USCWANNABE, are you already done with your spring semester? i wont be wont get my grades until june 27, and the semester ends june 8.

Jobu, are you sure that we can send them our current grades? the admissions guy told me to send a final transcrpit after i get my spring grades.

im sooo tired of the wait. i better get something by june 1st.

guitarshark, refer to the thread "call usc".

Does USC require your high school transcript when trying to transfer? Or is it just certain departments? High school grades are the reason I didn't get admitted in the first place. :(

Also, I was just wondering whether or not there's a decent chance to transfer into USC after your frosh year at a state school as long as your GPA is really high.

they do consider high school grades but they seem to look at college gpa the most even for transfers applying after their freshman year. a good college gpa will probably get you in as long as your high school stuff isn't too bad.

my spring semester was over the 2nd week of may. Ur semester ends in june?!?!? Thats crazy. I thought most schools would be done by now. Anyways, goodluck all. Hopefully well hear soon

Student4u, you can send them whatever you want to, as long as you do it professionally, a polite note that you will be sending official grades as soon as they post is an excellent way to keep them updated. Say you don't get your grades until June 27th, and say it takes GCC another week to send in your transcript, we're talking the first week of JULY! That's a month and a half away!!! How many spring grades from accross the nation will they receive in that amount of time? I think you should be proactive, but of course, not to the point of annoyance. If you do it right, this could be one of those opportunities you create for yourself...

thanks for the advice jobu
