[
] ECs listed on app:
[] Job/Work Experience: USMC veteran, EMT, attending paramedic school.
[
] Essays (subject and responses): I wrote about how the Marine Corps has influenced me as a person and taught me to never settle for mediocre. Additionally, after the Marine Corps, I stressed how USC is the best opportunity to better myself and my career. I wrote about my experience as an EMT, going to paramedic school, and using my education from USC to make me a better paramedic. And finally, I mentioned how I want to give back to the university by volunteering for campus EMS, where I could put into practice my experience and USC education.
[ ] Letters of Recommendation: 1 from an English teacher.
[/ul][ b]Other:**

[list]
[
] Other schools applied to: None.
[*] Comments: Originally, the idea of USC seemed unrealistic, because it is a private university. It was a dream come true to come home to the golden envelope.

[ul]
[] College transferring from: Moorpark College

[/ul]Subjective:

[ul]
[] ECs listed on app: Really quite a lot. Singer-songwriter for 8 years, guitar for 9 years, written many songs for artists in the U.S. and other countries and worked with contracts and deals through these experiences, top-lining, Pro-Tools certification classes, songwriting and A&R workshops, playing shows often, a part of 2 non-profits (wrote a song for one of them that is often utilized), home recording studio, released 2 EPs as a solo artist and been a part of various other musical projects, worked with successful music executives and producers, awards and accolades for music, Phi Theta Kappa, more.
[
] Job/Work Experience: Work 30-40 hours a week at an organic juice bar.
[] Essays: I think out of all the time I spent on my application (which was a LOT!), I spent the most time on my essays. I wrote, re-wrote, revised, re-wrote again, and had them reviewed by a handful of trusted people. I spent months on them. In the end, they really expressed who I was, my experiences in the industry thus far, and how much I made USC a part of my plan. My essays definitely ended up being the components of my application I was most proud of.
[
] Letters of Recommendation: I almost had one sent by one of the founders of the non-profits I’ve worked with but it got a bit hectic and saw it wasn’t required. I didn’t send any.

[
] Comments: So excited to have gotten into my dream school. I applied out of high school a few years ago (graduated a year early and then took a year off), and I got rejected. Now, I totally understand why. This time around, I worked so hard to create a strong application and it really paid off. Elated to become part of the Trojan family, finally! Fight on!

Congratulations guys! any update on Film Production?

Also did you apply to any other film schools?

So guys is an SGR a bad or good thing? Does anyone know the chances of getting accepted after an SGR?
