USC transfer question(s)

I am a student who is interested in transferring to usc, as i am sure there are many others like me out there. I was originally at lmu, but took a leave of absence do to several personal reasons that greatly affected my academic performance (my acum was 2.52 and my cc gpa is 4.0). After i left i enrolled at a cc to figure out what exactly i wanted to get out of college, and i know now what i want to do.

What my main questions are:

does usc have a limit to how many units a transfer can have?
does retaking a class/classes that you did poorly in to get a better grade help or hurt you?
does usc only look for students who have the best gpas?

also, i WAS interested in pursuing a bfa and took a number of art classes before determining that i should stick with business. i only mention this because the classes inflate my total number of credits, and i do not know if they have any significance.

Yes, the maximum credits to transfer over is 64 semester.

Somewhat, USC does not acknowledge academic renewal. So that means your retaken classes will be averaged out with your previous grade for that course. If this is a prereq course then I would say it will hurt a lot.

I don’t think so, I believe they want a well rounded individual who can not only bring in academics but also some school spirit.
