USC transfer question

Had a few questions about USC, as I devoted nearly all my attention, energy, and course planning to the UC system so I know very little about USC. Despite this, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to apply anyways, as I have a high GPA with a decent amount of the general education/ prereqs done.
So anyways, how does it work when you have less than 64 transferrable units to USC? I forgot if there was an option on the common app that required you to select sophomore or junior transfer. I have 59 transferrable units to USC… will they automatically reject me like a UC would in that scenario or do I have a chance of getting accepted as a sophomore?
Also- Who should you get your LORs from? Does USC prefer professors or counselors, or does it not matter as long as it’s one of the two? Btw it shouldn’t be too late to send a LOR right? lol I didn’t even know they let transfer students submit LORs until recently
