I'm going to be a freshman at Southern Connecticut State University this fall, and would like to transfer to USC. I slacked off my sophomore and junior years in HS and need to get my stats up. Other than get a GPA of 3.5 or above, what should I do to improve my chances of being a standout transfer applicant? I'm going to volunteer next summer in South America for a month and a half; hopefully it will help.

have good reasons to transfer, be passionate about something

Are you attending SCSU? Well, if you remove 1 “S” and play Scrabble with it, you’ll be at USC! Just kidding. What’s your major?
