USC Transfer

I am currently a California community college student and am planning to transfer to USC in the fall of 2009 as an Accounting major. I am currently on the Honors Program, but I wouldn't be able to finish it as I am still completing my major pre-reqs. Does completing the program increase one's chances of being accepted by SC?

Also, do I have to complete all the General Ed. Requirements before applying? I have completed Category I, III, Diversity, and Lower Division Writing Requirement already, and I will be able to complete Category V before applying and Category II by the time the spring term ends. Do I still have to fulfill the Foreign Language requirement as an Accounting major?

I have a 3.95 GPA, btw, I currently don't have that very many ECs, just 2 volunteer work. I'm planning on doing more this year, though, so what are my chances?

Uh.... I just started community college, lol, and I can tell you right now that you DO NOT NEED ANY foreign language for Marshall or Leventhal.

Sigh of relief, you and me both.

As far as your other concerns, I wouldn't know, sorry....

I'll second that. Marshall and Leventhal do not require FL.

Also, you are in good shape as far as GPA is concerned (USC weighs the GPA most in admission consideration). You should work on some more ECs though. Good luck!
