<p>I just checked mine...and all the transferred classes are on it but I dont think it is distributed correctly.
It said that i haven't fulfilled my Writing Requirements & my english class that wouldve fulfilled it isn't under it...</p>
<p>I'm also a soc major and I took many of the classes at my prev school that would fulfill the soc major req here...but those classes aren't listed under "soc req"...</p>
<p>anyone else have the same prob? will they fix it at orientation when i see my advisor?</p>
<p>I think we're required to take another english class at SC, no matter what english we've already taken.</p>
<p>I believe you have to take ALL of your upper division courses in your major in residence (at USC). That may be why you only get the transfer credits for your previous soc courses, but they don't count towards your soc major requirement.</p>

oh man! does any other usc transfers feel a bit anxious? i feel like I have so many classes to take....
I have to take almost all my soc classes over here at usc, as well as foreign language req (although i tested out in UW--but i see its diff here)...

<p>yea im in the same boat. i have to take a category II as well, take a foreign lang test (hopefully i can pass out of it), take so many soc classes, writing classes...it's all over again :( blah!</p>

<p>alright!!!! USC called me today and told me my petition for the writing requirement was approved. One class out of the way =)</p>

<p>i didnt have to collect any signatures. I was petitioning that my Hon 100 english class should satisfy two semesters of english. I submitted like 4 or 5 papers, and also papers from my Hon political class cuz i felt some really good papers for that class. Other than that, I had my my honors adviser write a letter saying that the class was equivalent to a second semester english class. I submitted the petition somewhere around July 8 and they just called me yesterday, July 22. So you figure about 2 weeks until you hear back from them.</p>
