USC Transfers Unite!

Any applicants applying to USC for fall 2006? I'm a little confused about the labels and barcodes we received. What do I do with them?

I'm applying. What labels and barcodes?

Oh i received address labels and barcodes for the paper app, i have to read into it more. i was wondering if anyone here already knew.

Why do you do it via paper app? I use the paper app for reference, but i'll fill the online one. It's quicker and cleaner.

I used the online application, which is the way to go if you ask me, but the barcodes go on the forms that say affix bar code here in a box at the top of the form(Forms 1a, 2, 3, 6, 7) and the label is for the envelope as your return address. I submitted my online app a few days before xmas and got a confirmation letter less than a week later that it was recieved so thats the quickesy way to do it. I still need to submit my college and high school transcripts I'm in college at Hofstra in NY and my high school is in FL and wont send the transcripts directly or give them to my mom to send to me, so I have to wait until I go home for Winter Break and get them and send them off to USC. Is anyone attending the Transfer Day on January 27th? I'll be there. If anyone has already attended one what was it like?

what's the deadline in USC for Fall 06 ??

USC deadline for Fall 2006 Transfers is February 1st 2006. The recommended deadline financial aid is even sooner though.

"To apply for 2006–2007 need-based financial aid, complete the steps below. The earlier you apply, the sooner you will hear from us. We suggest that you submit your FAFSA and PROFILE by January 20, 2006, and all tax returns by March 2, 2006, to ensure that you receive notification of your financial aid eligibility well in advance of the May 1 National Candidates’ Reply Date. If you apply after these dates, you should complete all steps as soon as possible; however, we may not be able to notify you by May 1."

Heres a link to the financial aid information

i just have to write one of the three essays and im done. what about you trojan wannabe?

i have a question.....

and depending on the answer, i might be ****ed....

First, go to this webpage: <a href="http://afaweb.esd.usc.edu/dcpage2.cfm?PageBaseID=50223%5B/url%5D">http://afaweb.esd.usc.edu/dcpage2.cfm?PageBaseID=50223</a></p>

The page says that the "Trustee" and "Presidential" scholarships are for entering freshmen only.

It seems the only Transfer specific merit-based scholarship is located under "Transfer merit" and the application must be complete by February 1st (Notifcation June 1st).

Now go to this webpage:

<a href="http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/admission/scholarships.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/admission/scholarships.html</a></p>

THe Presidential scholarship is said to be available for transfer students with the December 10th deadline. Also on this page is the Dean's scholarship (also available to transfers) with the deadline of December 10th. Well it's well past the 10th of December and my application isn't completed. I had no idea these scholarships even existed because I had only known about the original website. Someone want to clarify or interpret the meaning of this. These two pages contradict eachother.

Does anyone know where to find the transfer required courses for biological sciences? Is there such a list?

I believe you'll find all the info you need here: <a href="http://afaweb.esd.usc.edu/USC-AFA/u...ferring0506.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://afaweb.esd.usc.edu/USC-AFA/u...ferring0506.pdf</a></p>

ok it isn't a full link, could you post the full one? thanks!

thanks njcc

done with the main application already KevinTech submitted around Dec 22nd ish I think. I did that online. I still need to send my high school and college transcripts and for the Broadcast Journalism major I still need to write a 1 page statement of intent and send my letters of rec. Currenlty working on the financial aid information. Has anyone been to a Transfer Day program for USC or ever visited the campus? What is it like. Im going in less than a month. Also where are you guys from? Im from Florida attending Hofstra University in New York.

Where's all the financial aid info for USC? is that in the packet we received in the mail?

Do transfers need letters of recommendations? I cant find that on the online app...

I second that question, specifically for engineering.

This is for general admissions as a transfer

what's the point of transferring? it's not like they won the rose bowl
