Has anyone been accepted to USC as a sophmore or Junior for the Fall '06. or received a letter asking for spring grades?

No, not yet. However, some other forums have indicated that engineering majors have received their decisions.

How do you check?

well you either get a letter in the mail asking for your spring grades or you get a packet saying that you're in. i already know two people who somehow got their application flagged and received their acceptance packets.

So...does that mean that if you dont get asked for your spring grades your probably getting in?

what i heard is that if you dont get asked for your spring grades than you're prob not getting in.. i'm trying as a sophmore, i dont know if that's the same for admission as a junior.

I have been accepted to Electrical Engineering at USC. :)

Kevin101,

I've noticed that Engineering students have received their decisions in comparison to other applicants. Did you have supplemental application materials? Did the engineering school decide verses general adcoms? Also, if you wouldn't mind, what were your stats, and did you get fin. aid?

Does USC require letters of rec?

No, I don't think so. At least I hope not. They didn't mention one thing about it in the transfer guide.

"Did you have supplemental application materials?"
No, we don't have supplemental application materials. For business majors, I heard that they have it.

"Did the engineering school decide verses general adcoms?"
I don't know because i'm not the adcom.

"Also, if you wouldn't mind, what were your stats, and did you get fin. aid?"
My stats:
GPA: 3.69 with IGETC certified (worth noting that I have straight A in calculus), some extra activities, some awards and honors (few scholarships, 3 golden state exams, Dean's List, many individual badminton awards...), and great essays
Haven't heard anything yet from financial aid office.

"Does USC require letters of rec?"
For freshman, you have to submit one letter of recommendation but for transfers, they don't require it.

Thanks did you send your app. to Viterbi or to the admissions office. That would determine which group of people reviewed your app.

Thanks and congratulations. One last question, did you send your app. to Viterbi or to the admissions office? That would determine which group of people reviewed your app.

Kevin,

When were u notified about your admission? Was it a packet or a small letter? Also how far along were you in terms of units, and pre reqs. Congrats!!!!!

USC sends a big package if you're accepted.

Just reading this post got me very nervous!!! I have a 3.5 with all pre reqs and core req done. I applyed as a Poli sci major so my chances seem pretty slim..... GOD I HATE THIS WAIT!!!!!

Has anyone been accepted from other majors?

I have applied to marshall school of business undergrad with a 4.0 gpa and I have heard nothing. I called earlier today and the counselor told me transfers wont hear till the first week of june. I can't stand the wait either seeing that usc is my first choice above all my other schools

That's what they always tell us. However, cc forum archives describe a different scenario. Last year, people found out as soon as April 21. I think " You won't know until June 1 blah blah blah..." is just a default message.

I had called the admission dept in the last week of march and they said they being looking at transfer apps in the begining of April. It seems to me the whole June decisions thing is in regards to sophmore transfers and for students who have to send in their spring grades. She had also tol me if u had math and english done along with all the pre reqs needed for your major you would get a decision by the middle of May.
