Oh, and if so, do u know her stats?

What is the site to check online decisions.

USC does not release admission decisions online, guys. Sorry, you'll have to wait by the mailbox for the next few weeks.

she got a 3.0 at southern methodist university. i dont know what classes she's taking. but her dad got her application flagged b/c he knew a professor or something like that and she got in.

she first found out she got in like 2 weeks ago and then a week later she found out she accepted with her major

Lex13- Where did you hear if they don't ask for your Spring semester grades your not getting in?

Are any of you from SMC?

well my friend who went to smc last year got that letter and she got in. my friend who has completed 45 units from smc got accepted also.

when i went to sc transfer day in december they said that the majority of sophmore transfers get in, but he didnt give a percentage

Wow, seriously? That comment sounds too promising.

Do you mean sophmores who will enter USC as a junior or freshmen who will enter as a sophomore. Also, were both of those friends accepted this year or last?

I was really surprised when the professor said it too. It was in a big lecture hall and I was afraid to ask any questions.

Referring to the transfering sophmore, I mean students who are freshman in college and will be a sophmore next year. I know one person who got in last year as a sophmore and two people this year. One will be a sophmore and the other one I'm not sure because she has 45 units. They haven't told her if she'll be a sophmore or a junior.

And these people already know about their decisions? Have you heard anything about yours? I also attended a transfer day, but the Chairman of the Admissions Dept. lead our discussion. He implied that it is extremely hard to get in as a sophomore because they base so much on high school records.

I haven't heard anything yet. At transfer day both in the open discussion and at Annenberg the speakers made it seem like they want students to transfer as soon as possible, but I could be wrong.

So the comment regarding requests for Spring grades only refers to sophmore transfers, right?

They do let quite a few people in. I saw a # on their website, it said that about 6500 Transfers applied and 1500 enrolled. At transfer day they said about 3000 are accepted, however.

yeah i think so. since I'm a freshman right now I don't know the process for junior transfers. I would think that they wouldn't ask for spring grades because 45 units have been completed already. For me I sent in my application only having completed 15 units.

Im applying in Economics and Business, but according to the business dept. website, it says that they wont render a decision until we have a teacher fill out a final grade report. Shows here, at the bottom: http://www.marshall.usc.edu/web/Undergraduate.cfm?doc_id=3451

Lex13 I attended transfer day in January and for Annenberg they said they would rather you transfer when you have between 30-40 credits at the time of applying but for the USC in General they would rather you have proven yourself for 2 years at a university so they don't need to look at your high school stats.

I also believe that you may receive a spring grade request if you have not completed either the math or english requirements. I also heard that usc accepts quite a few students and that actually a large majority of those who do not get accepted were either not qualified (obviously), or filled out the app. wrong. Anyone else hear similar things?

30 credits? what is that usually equivalent to? full freshman year? one semester? freshman and sophomore year?
