USC transfers.

I waiting on Annenberg too. USC is my only choice I'm just staying at my current school if not accepted at USC. Im not terribly unhappy here at Hofstra in NY, I was just be so much more happy at USC. I've already had to register for classes here and get housing for next semester and I may have to move out next week having not heard from SC yet and I won't be able to tell my friends or fraternity brothers if I'll see them next semester or not. I really hope I hear by next week. SK1 if you can find out ur friend's stats and major that would be great. Good luck everyone. Fight On!

Astro, USC no longer has a listed minimum GPA for any program. Also the film program at USC is unbelievably hard to get into, and as a transfer you most likely wont have room in your schedule to double major. Sociology is not one of the highly competitive majors at USC so it shouldnt be that difficult to get into.

Yeah I found out, she got into their general liberal arts school, and got additional app for the journalism school. Shes only a freshman like me so she has to do the general ed courses before her major. Hope that helps

Ok now the wait is really starting to **** me off, lol...

Trojan Wannabe, I grew up on LI and have been to Hofstra many times. All I can say is I'm surprised you didn't decide to leave sooner! Ive seen your stats posted on this site a few times and if I remember you had a ton of credits. Hofstra has a pretty good reputation as far as academics go so I'm pretty sure you'll get in as long as your EC's are strong.

i know what you mean...ive already sent in a 750 deposit...but if i get into usc then thats just a waste... but oh well... i guess im just waiting... what major are you goin for? im public relations...
anybody know if its really competitive?

One more question... are you guys staying in the dorms? or getting a place?

wow 750 for a deposit! ridiculous.

im still patiently waiting... if usc's decision doesnt' come out by june 1st, i'll have to send a deposit to ucsd.

wait a minute, the deposit should be $300, not $750.

PR is very competitive any of the Annenberg majors are tought to get into, especially those in the school of journalism,PR and Broadcast and Print Journalism. Kevin101 that person means they had to send a deposit to another school. All schools don't have the same deposit. I agree that 750 is a little steep for a deposit though. If you get into USC and have to throw that money away that would definitely suck except that would mean you're a Trojan so it wouldn't be all bad

Another day with out a response.

I won't find out until friday since I'll be out of state. Good luck to the rest of you who are waiting!

how do they notify? email? letter? you can't check on the website can you?

they send you a BIG ass packet in the mail from what i've heard...

have any sc transfers gotten a decision yet?

I just got a letter from USC asking for my spring grades by June 30th. I don't know if I should be optimistic or cry. Bummer..

Best part, my dad called me into his room and showed me a small letter with the USC logo on it. Do you know the feeling I got? Oh God.. :(

chrismd05,

do you mind sharing your stats? It would be very much appreciated.

chrismd05-- that's awesome that you got a transcript request. It basically means you're in as long as you have good grades for this semester =)

As for me, i'm still waiting =( I'm a transfer applicant for the creative writing major. I currently finished my sophomore year at nyu with a 3.75 gpa for this semester and a 3.3 overall gpa (i did poorly my freshman year). I think i'm going to send in my transcript anyway.

sorry but not always ElnglishRocks, last year as freshman app, I got a transcript request, I sent in my senior grades 4.0 with 2 Ap courses and 2 college/hs courses and still got rejected. Hopefully we will all get in!!

are you serious? I thought a transcript request for transfers meant that you were on the verge. Or so it happened to a friend of mine last year who was asked for a transcript and got in after getting a 4.0 for that semester. maybe it's different for transfer apps vs. freshman apps.

damn i didn't get a gpa verification request... i hope thats not bad.

hobo,

what school did you apply to?

marshall and levanthal as backup.
