USC Trojan Transfer Program Assistance

Hi, I'm currently a freshman at UCSB and I was invited to attend the trojan transfer meeting just this past summer. I'm currently enrolled in my required Math and Writing class necessary to transfer as well as a suggested GE that transfers over. The GE I am in is Anthropology and is currently being taken pass/no pass. My trojan transfer counselor is currently out of the office and I was hoping for veteran experience with my issue. I am planning to transfer out after 1 year at UCSB, so they will look at parts of my high school application, however, I'm curious if it is important that I take my Anthro class pass/no pass or letter grade. It is a GE that transfers over, however, I am unsure of whether I need to take it for a letter grade? Thank you!

You cant take one GE P/NP while at USC but I’m not sure they’d allow a P/NP course to be transferred over for credit when you matriculate. It is probably safer to switch to a grade, especially if it will help you with your gpa. Generally people try to knock out as many GE’s as they can before transferring. You can complete category 1,2,3, and 5 elsewhere but must take 4 and 6 at USC.

@ SuperChill I’m under the Trojan Transfer Plan too and am trying to transfer to USC next fall too! I’m having the same problem picking classes!!!
