<p>I go to a high school in Southern California and applied general/industrial engineering at Cal Poly, undeclared at Berkeley and la, structural to sd and mechanical at irvine and SB, as well as USC.</p>

<p>Weighted 10-12: 4.05
Unweighted 10-12: 3.75</p>

<p>I messed up freshman year and did not take it seriously, receiving a 2.9
However, I attained a 3.7 sophomore year and a 4.4 last year and am currently on roll to get a 4.6 and straight As this semester</p>

<p>I have taken: AP Calculus AB, AP US, and AP Physics B</p>

<p>Currently enrolled: AP Calculus BC, AP Gov, AP Physics C, Advanced Composition</p>

<p>I received a 4 on Calc, a 3 on Physics, and a 2 on US</p>

<p>My SAT is a 600 R, 660 M, 740 W with a 10 essay</p>

<p>My ACT is a 31. 35 E, 32 M, 28 R, 29 S with a 10 essay and 33 E/W score</p>

<p>I also played football all 4 years and lettered, I wrestled as well as track and field and also was part of CSF, JSA, and other clubs that gave me around 100 hours of community service, to which I stuck to for 3 years.</p>

<p>The only thing I am worried about is my freshman year, will my chances be extremely slim because of it, or will they see the upward trend of my grades and my hard work to get back on track?
Any help would be appreciated as I really want to attend these schools, thank you!</p>

<p>I think they’ll surely notice your upward trend and it should be fine. You GPA still ends up being good. Your ACT falls within the range of all of those colleges, but your CR+M is a bit low I think for some of the higher tier colleges.</p>

<p>UCB- hardest to get into… maybe a low reach but I still think you have a chance
UCLA-high match I’d say along with USC</p>

<p>The rest I’m not too sure about but I’d say you’re in most of the other UC’s.</p>

<p>UCB and USC maybe will be a problem but the rest I think you are a strong applicant! They will most likely take a look at how your doing now and weigh that against how you did earlier in HS! YOU ARE IN GOOD SHAPE! </p>

<p>I think they’ll see the upward trend and your GPA is good so they won’t care that much. Also, bc it was freshman year they will care less. Most people mess up freshman year if they are going to mess up.</p>

<p>Honestly, I will be very surprised if Berkeley will offer you a slot (in the College of Engineering) with a stat like that. However, Berkeley is sometimes full of surprises, so keep your hopes high. Who knows, right?</p>

<p>yeah, you look realllly good for all of em, but like they said, ucb and usc might be a little harder to get into. good luck!
