So Im going to be straight up and say I am a horrible test taker. My highest SAT score is a standing 1480 and my ACT was a 23, I'm debating whether I should take it again even though I sent my SAT scores in already. I have a 3.89 unweighted GPA and a 4.32 weighted GPA. Im ranked 12 out of the 552 seniors in my class. Plus I am vice president of one of my clubs for 3 consecutive years now, I head the volunteer opportunity committee in NHS, im in AP Bio Club, and lastly participate in Cowboy SPURS, which helps seniors get read for college. OH and I have waaaay too many hours of volunteer hours, considering I started my sophomore year.Basically what are my chances of getting into University of Southern California, University of California, Los Angeles, Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Los Angeles, and lastly University of Nevada,Reno.

To be honest, unless you have a big hook, there is no way for you to get in to USC or UCLA because 1480 is EXTREMELY LOW. Cal state long beach is a match for you because of the high gpa and Cal State LA is a safety

Ouch, thanks for the honesty though

The CSUs do not use the writing section score of the SAT, they just use the combined M and CR score. Since you are not applying from the service areas of CSULB and CSULA you may not automatically qualify for admission based on your GPA and your SAT scores will be important in that case. CSULB is considerably more competitive than CSULA and you will probably need a CR+M SAT score of 1,100-1,200 for a solid chance of acceptance. For CSULA you will need about 1,000 to be competitive.

just turn in your act because a 23 is a 1070 m+cr which i would assume is probably better than your sat m+cr
