<p>My s is deciding between these two programs. Does anyone have any thoughts on the differences and strengths and weaknesses of these two programs?</p>
<p>USC Popular Music Program providing excellent performing and band forming opportunities for studio/jazz guitar students if he is interested in that. I have no familiarity with CalArts to know their strength along these lines.</p>
<p>Has he visited both schools? Is there a financial factor in this decision?</p>
