USC Viterbi Mid-Year Report Importance?

Hi guys.

So USC is like my top dream of the dream school and I really want a scholarship but I think I messed up this year. My stats are good enough for the regular school, but their school of engineering (Vierbi) is MUCH harder to get into.

I have had 2 Bs in high school (both in sophomore year) and my weighted GPA is about 4.38 (UW: 3.95). SAT is 1490/1600 and my ECs are pretty strong (egineering academy, MIT project, photography business, etc.)

Junior year I had straight As (mostly A- tho) but this year I really messed up. I am on track for 2 Bs this semester: AP Calc BC and AP Gov.

If USC requests my mid year report, do you think that will really hurt me? And if they don’t, is that a good sign? Please if someone got into Viterbi or rejected please let me know. I had high hopes but after this semester… I don’t know anymore.

well, as far as i know, it states the mid-year report is required, so… however, i don’t think it will hurt you to be honest. engineering is competitive almost everywhere, so you’ll have stiff competition, but your stats seem fine. try not to worry! (plus the Bs are in AP classes… i think it’s different when you get a B in a regular course vs. an AP class.)
