USC vs CMU vs UT Austin

Im majoring in business at all of these schools and have no idea what to choose
USC- half tuition scholarship, marshall business admin
CMU- no scholarship, tepper business admin
UT Austin- no scholarship, out of state, mccombs business honors program

Money isn’t a huge issue, my parents will pay whatever they have to for me to get a very good business education.

I like CMU on paper and recognize that it has a lot of prestige and that everyone knows its name, but ive heard about its stress culture, lack of school spirit, etc from its students which makes it less appealing. however i like in CT, so its relatively closer to home. pittsburgh is also a good college city and is somewhat safer. but i basically received no money, which i personally don’t like and im not sure that i want my parents to suffer financially because of it (even though they say its fine)
UT- i got into their business honors program which is super selective and its rankings are tied with tepper/cmu’s. they have really strong school spirit and austin is a great college city to be in.my cousin goes there so even though its far away from home, i still have family at the school and in texas. i would have to pay out of state tuition, which is still cheaper than carnegie.
USC- i received a half tuition presidential scholarship and admission into marshall. i love the idea of living in LA and ik usc has great school spirit and the trojan alumni network is veryy strong. but the area around the school isnt as safe and cali is veryy far from home for me. i do have family in LA and in california, but its still far.

How do the schools rank against each other in terms of prestige for their business schools and the weight of their name? I want to earn the highest salary out of school as possible (obviously) and be able to get into a elite mba program too and i dont know which of these woud reallly maximize my potential to do so. I can also double major in CS at any of these schools. please helppp!!

Firstly, I’d look more carefully into double marjoring at CMU it’s essentially impossible to get into their CS program unless admitted as a freshman, which is still no easy task. Secondly, I have a friend at CMU who loves it and although it’s definitely a stressfull school, it can still be a fun place with fraternaties and the city at your feet. If you’re looking for big D1 sports with a fun atmosphere and a more relaxed culture than CMU USC makes the most sense. USC and CMU beat out UT Austin academically and USC’s marshall school of business will provide you with the connections you need to earn a high salary.

USC’s area shouldn’t be an issue (I was there just today). With the Village opening and with all of the blue emergency buttons everywhere, the area is definitely safe enough for a college student. You would hardly have to go off campus for any reason other than internships maybe, but even then the easy access to the train as well as other public transportation would limit you from having to go out into the surrounding area. USC is one of the best business schools, and the merit scholarship definitely helps. CMU/UT Austin aren’t worth the 20k that USC is giving you

Do you have an idea of where you want to work and live after school? If so, and money is no issue, go to the closest school. A degree from USC will be best if you want to work out west, a CMU degree will be best if you want to work back east, and a Texas degree will be best if you want to work in Texas.

I went to USC and the concern about neighborhood safety is greatly overblown.
