So I’m torn between these three options. I’m not sure whether I’m ready to commit to a medical path, but despite this, I have the feeling I will end up applying/going to med school anyways. The security and guarantee of the Hofstra BSMD is alluring and I’m quite familiar with the research there (I’ve worked at Feinstein in HS for the past 2-3 years now). On the other hand, USC would give me the the opportunities and experience of such a prestigious institution, and enable me to have options. I say this because I know that if I went to the Hofstra BSMD program, I would have no reason to pursue anything else but medicine (guaranteed med acceptance, high favoritism for residency at Northwell from what I’ve heard). I also include Stonybrook because I got full tuition there (but I am able to pay for all of these, considering I got very decent scholarships from USC and Hofstra). Any advice? I’ll be able to clarify anything further if you ask, perhaps I wasn’t clear enough in this.
