I'm into Marshall (USC), Northwestern and UChicago.

Now if it were down to just internships, it would probably be UChicago hands down. But, I also want a good quality of life, meaning I want to go to school with people who are really friendly and fun-loving. People who may not want to talk about physics and ancient norweigan all the time.

Anyway, it's sunny in LA, and the people there match this description. So my question is:

will the differential between job offerings through marshall and those through nw'ern/uc be so large, that it overrides concern for quality of life? To put it another way, can I still get into I-banking (goldman sachs, lazard, etc.) with Marshall?

Though unless you're totally averse to cold weather, Northwestern is a perfect balance of academics and social life. It's got a better rep than USC.

I'd go Northwestern between those schools. UChicago is usually looked at as an ugly girl school with crappy social life. USC is great but the rep is kinda eh. Northwestern though has a good balance of a great college town and a great rep.

i would pick Stern, but i understand where you are coming from. go to Northwestern or UofC, it will be much easier to land that IB than Marshall. UofC is very tough and their core very challenging. northwestern is a good mix of the qualities you will find in UofC and chicago.

i actually heard that marshall has a really good rep for getting internships and jobs after college. also USC overall is a really good school for networking. AND its in LA, so you cant go wrong lol...so...come join me at USC Marshall!!!
