Well, statistically USC is more selective than NYU but not by much. There’s not really much I can tell you without ACT scores.

A conservative 30, just to post a number

go for NYU, it has a stronger alumni network.

^that’s really not true. NYU has a stonger network on the east coast but USC is the network in SoCal. Both are amazing schools and both have produced probably the greatest number of famous alumni (USC graduates include Will Farrell, George Lucas, Salvatore Ferragamo, lol). They both are amazing schools with strong alumni networks.

To be honest the schools attract the same applicant pool but more who apply to both schools get into NYU over USC. With a 30 ACT you have a better chance of getting into NYU.

I got into NYU CAS as an Econ Major and into the USC school of Accounting (which is more selective than USC CAS). Im international and my stats and EC’s were better. I chose NYU and am going there this fall, and I would recommend you to choose NYU UNLESS you want to work in SoCal, where USC is a huge brand name due to its alumni network

“Love Club” IS NYU! – be safe out there.

Are you applying ED or RD?

for RD both USC and NYU would be a match/high match

Isn’t NYU’s CAS econ program really highly ranked? It’s like #2 or 3 in the country or something for undergrad I think.
