I'm a high school Junior. I go to a competitive high school in Ohio. I have a 3.5, however I am taking a ton of APs this year and next so it should kick start my GPA. I got a 30 on ACT. I'm president of Environmental Club, ITS officer, student counsel, french club, service club, lettered varsity wrestling three years, wrestling varsity captain, 6 years in orchestra, drama club. What are my chances of getting into USC vs NYU, and which, in your opinion, is the better/harder to get into school?

Don’t know better or harder. Don’t know which is better for you, esp without your intended major. I know one smart girl from CA who got into both and chose to go NYU and regretted it. I suppose if proposed major is not a factor, I would choose USC for the weather, but that is just me, I hate cold. If that was not a factor, I’d choose NYU for the city, if I had some extra cash on hand. You have got to pick for yourself. Best to choose after acceptance, not before, btw.
