<p>floridad55: why would it be very tough for the OP even if he/she had better SAT scores? OP has close to a 4.0 unweighted GPA. Just wondering what you are seeing that I am not. (OP I agree that your test scores need to be higher.)</p>
<p>Are you instate CA? Think you may get into UCLA…it’s so hard to predict. What other UC’s did you apply if instate? </p>
<p>My friends’ son is a first-year at USC this year and actually, your stats are very similar to his. His SAT’s were right around 1900, but your GPA is higher and you have more EC’s. Perfect those essays and make them stand out. Ask your English lit. teacher to read for feed back and edits. Hope your retakes come back great! Good luck!</p>
<p>I think your SAT scores hurt you and I don’t know if you challenged yourself in the context of your school but I disagree with floridadad; your SAT makes it a reach, but if your SAT score was above 2000 then I would say you have a significantly better chance. For now, I think you may get into UCLA if you are in-state, but USC will be harder and you’d need to get really good recs and a good essay.</p>
