USC vs UCLA

I know that there are many threads about this, but I still have to ask because I am so confused, and have yet to find words of wisdom that will help me make my decision.

I plan on majoring in biology as a pre-med. I've been to both campuses and fell in love with each for their own reasons. I know that they both are really good schools, but they each have their pros and cons. I know that UCLA will be cheaper, but UC's are facing some pretty tough budget cuts. Also, because it is a bigger school, I am afraid that creating a relationship with a professor will be extremely difficult, and that research opportunities will be scarce. USC, on the other hand, will be expensive, but it is smaller, and talking to a professor might be a little easier. I also applied for Bacc/MD (crosses fingers) and they said that even if we don't get it, there are plenty of research opportunities for undergrads. Eeek, I have no idea what to choose.

I'm also afraid that UCLA is going to be extremely competitive and that my GPA might not be that high because of all the super smart people, and the crazy curve. I'm not saying that USC is dumb, but I will have to compete against less people, which gives me a better chance of scoring higher.

If you guys can provide any insight, please do. I am so torn, and it is driving me crazy. Hopefully USC provides a really good financial aid package along with my Dean's scholarship (yay!), but if the price is going to be about the same as UCLA it's going to be even harder to decide. Ahhh, I need any insight at all. Thanks.
