<p>Ok where should I go (assuming I get into USC). I already got into UCLA. I want to go to med school afterwards.</p>
<p>UCLA: I would be a Psych major. I really like the area around the campus, and its a lot cheaper.</p>
<p>USC: I would be a Health Promotion and Disease Prevention major. The area surrounding the campus isn't so great but I really like the tradition and I think it would be cool to be part of the USC alumni "family."</p>
<p>What are some other things I should consider?? I really have no idea what I am going to do!!</p>

<p>im on the same boat i just got into ucla and waiting on USC. </p>
<p>im so USC …(if accepted)</p>

<p>Sounds like the program at USC would prepare you much more adequately than Psychology would. You know it is administered by the Keck school of medicine, right?</p>

              <p>caligirl89.</p>
<p>one piece of advice:</p>
<p>USC.</p>
<p>the end. :)</p>

<p>for you, sounds like USC would be better (considering your major at SC versus pysch at UCLA)
but honestly…ucla is a better school, look at the stats.
ucla is cheaper too, much better area as well.</p>
<p>it just depends which school you would prefer to go to…both are great
& if you plan to go to med school…majoring in pysch is fine as long as you do well!! :)</p>

              <p>^ classic rhetoric. What stats?</p>

<p>UCLA is ranked number 25 in the nation overall by US News. SC, ranked number 30. And Cal is ranked at number 21. </p>
<p>Every year, the London Times ranks the best colleges in the world. In the most recent edition of the Times Higher Education Supplement, UCLA was ranked number 26 in the world. Cal was ranked number 2 in the world. Stanford was ranked number 7. USC was ranked number 180 in the world by the London Times.</p>
<p>USC has lower academic rankings than both UCLA and Cal.</p>
<p>Look at any academic “list” or “rating”
ucla will always top usc
and cal will top them both</p>
<p>if you wanna go private, go to stanford.</p>

              <p>show them grey!! haha.</p>
<p>USC >>>>> UCLA.</p>

              <p>is this a serious thread? </p>
<p>Moderator, please shut this thread down. </p>
<p>Sidenote: fUCLA has nothing on USC.</p>

              <p>Thats only for incoming freshmen.
The unweighted average gpa for both usc and ucla admits is 3.8
Besides ucla looks at more than just your sat scores when selecting students.
Anyways, I do not come on this forumn to have “online” arguments with people. Just trying to help caligirl out by sharing my opinion.
Personally, I do not know a lot of transfers who were accepted to ucla and rejected at usc, but I do know lots who have been rejected at ucla and in at usc.
just saying…</p>

              <p>missanab,</p>
<p>you neglected to say that USC also looks at more than one’s SAT scores when considering applicants. They really look at a person’s whole situation and overall character when deciding to admit them or not. Honestly, and I’m not trying to be bias, I feel it’s a lot more holistic than the UC process. :)</p>

<p>lol immature, or can take a joke / have a sense of humor? don’t get your panties in a bunch. </p>
<p>i’d rather be taken in by USC to be understood and respected as an individual, than being picked by my GPA and SAT’s and become just another number in the system.</p>
