Did you apply to UT, A&M or UH? You won’t make any more money with a degree from USC or Michigan, and you’ll certainly pay more, lots more.
We are in the same situation but for electrical engineering. We are from California. Ann Arbor is very nice. We are paying full tuition except for only $4k/yr financial aid for each school which means USC is significantly more expensive.
I prefer UMich thinking he can focus more on his studies there. You know kids nowadays. Too much social media. With USC all over the news nowadays, it just made it worse. In the end, weather prevailed. It didn’t help me financially in my son choosing USC. I just hope he can make the most out of it.
