USC vs UT

Hi everyone, I've been accepted to both USC and UT at Austin and my major will be business. I'm wondering which one you would advice me and how do you rank them according to overall prestige and undergrad/business prestige. Do you feel that there is one clearly better than the other or not? Just to let you know, tuition will not be a problem as I'll get scholarships at both and my parents can pay the remaining amount.

Thanks for helping me decide!

Both McCombs and Marshall are top 10 schools, with McCombs ranked slightly higher. I would NOT let this be your deciding factor. Make your decision based on what campus, city, student body, academics, etc. etc. has the vibe that YOU like? Which school gives you the best intern opportunities and which school has the strongest alumni network? What are business students earning upon graduation, after 5 years, mid-career, etc.? Look at retention rates at both. Do some more research if necessary, talk to some current students, etc…

Congratulations on your acceptance to both schools and good luck.

Ive been to both campuses and like both of them. Im not quite sure about their alumni networks so maybe someone here knows something about that? The pay is about the same so that is not really important to me. Im hoping that there are some students of both universities here that can help me.

Does USC = University of Southern California? The application is not available until October 15th. Are you a Spring admit, or are you talking about the “other” USC?

No I meant the usc in California. Ive been accepted last year to both but due to circumstances I wasnt able to go. I have contacted both universities and I was told that I didnt need to apply again for which Im really happy of course. So that is why Im already asking this even before the application date.

They are similar/very comparable schools. Where do you want to live after you graduate? That would probably be my deciding factor. Congrats on being admitted to both!
