Has anyone received their USConnect invitation yet?

nope. And I submitted my app on Nov 24th.

I think - becos they are on common app this year - they have recvd way more applications than other years and hence are playing catch-up.

I think USC was probably very well prepared for the additional applications. They considered The Common Application for several years before making the move and very likely have estimated very closely the number of applications they will receive. In years past, the “status check” availability caused a lot of unnecessary stress and confusion for applicants, so my guess is that they have established a new status check system and will have it up and running to request mid-year reports in late January/early February as well as any missing documents. There really isn’t any need for it now - there is plenty of time for USC to contact you to let you know if anything is missing.

Ah. All those weeks of frenzied posts here on this board. The nerves! The status updates conspiracy theories. The speculation on what a certain wording meant. The mass postings and list-gatherings of all applicants and their dates of status changes. The sheer nervous energy that spilled all over cc. In contrast, this year is so… quiet.

Much better, really. There are enough nerves as it is without all that. And yet, it was sorta fun around here.

It is SO much better for the applicants, and I complained about the status frenzy more than anyone… but I really do kinda miss it… It is TOO quiet around here!
